I was honestly blown away by how amazing this site is. It also features an on-site museum which houses some stunning Roman artifacts.
I took a few photos that I’ve shared on here, but you must visit in person to truly appreciate it.
My photos don’t really do justice to the beautiful stone sculptures; they offer a fascinating glimpse into the arts and culture of times before you and me.
You will find beautiful examples of stone carved altars dedicated to Roman gods; sculptures and reliefs of animals, symbolic motifs and everyday Roman items such as coins, tools, pottery and military equipment.
The museum is for anyone interested in Roman history. Inside; there are interactive screens that help both adults and children discover and learn more about this incredible time in history.
